My Story
So, who is this guy who wants to be your Celebrant?
I'm an American who has lived in France for eight years. I'm a native Californian who grew up in the Bay Area and moved to San Diego to go to University - and ended up staying for the next 30 years. With my studies and degree in Communication, I spent my career in Marketing, mostly for theme parks. I mean, I had an awesome career!
We had an opportunity to retire at a younger age (my husband had a government job with a pension). All of our vacations were spent exploring Europe so it seemed like a natural fit to retire and move to France. What a dream!
Retired life is great....but I needed something more. I volunteer for the Cancer Support Group 06 - but still was looking for something with a fun and creative outlet. I had conducted weddings in the past for friends - and I thought - well, I like to write and perform - maybe I could help couples looking to get married in France...so here I am! I made it official by graduating from the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, (AMC).
My husband and I originally moved to the Dordogne where we lived a few years before heading to the sunny South of France. Our home is now in Cagnes Sur Mer where our time is spent exploring the area with our dog, Jackson.
